IU South Bend started the New Year by arranging a Welcome Week for the spring semester. This welcome week event was open to all IUSB students and faculty. The event was held at the new University Grill and took place on January 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event's main purpose was to help students get connected.
New students were able to find ways to meet new people and get involved in campus events and clubs. Returning students were able to look for more venues to connect with other students. Not only were students able to meet new people and become involved in school clubs but they were able to participate in fun events and have a good time.
Welcome Week at IUSB was successful at getting students to come out, meet new people and get involved in student organizations. The event had 20 tables set up with information regarding campus events, free food and free games. Not only were students able to get involved but they were able to welcome in a new semester with each other in a positive way.
