The Health and Wellness Center located on the first floor of the Student Activities Center provides health care to students, faculty and staff at a significantly reduced fee. Appointments are highly recommended. The clinic is a nurse practitioner run practice where you can get most of the services you could find at a regular family doctor; they even have a small in-house pharmacy.

Services include:

  • Physical Exams
  • Order labs and x-rays
  • Pelvic Exams
  • Write prescriptions
  • Provide referrals
  • STD screening
  • Aid in accessing free/reduced medications

Fees:

  • $20 initial visit/$15 for following visits
  • Testing is at an additional cost, but patients are notified of the cost prior to having tests run.

For mental health needs, the Student Counseling Center provides free and confidential help to IU South Bend students for a variety of personal and emotional difficulties. The counseling center is located in room 130 of the Administration Building with office hours Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, by appointment.

  • Links to Community Resources

The Dental Clinic is located at 2002 Northside Blvd. in Riverside Hall. The clinic provides learning experiences for students enrolled in the Dental Hygiene Program. Appointments are available Weekdays Sept- June and the clinic can only accept cash or check payment. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 520-4156.

X-Ray Fees:

  • Bitewings (2 or 4 films) are included in cleaning fee
  • $1 for any single film
  • $5 for any duplicate films
  • $20 Panoramic X-rays & Full Mouth X-rays
